Queer Celebrity Makeup Artist Kályd Odeh turns out Melissa McCarthy for WeHo Pride!
Melissa McCarthy looked stunning as the "ICON" for West Hollywood's Pride and she really started off 2023 Pride Month with a Bang! Melissa teamed up with Celebrity Makeup guru Kályd Odeh to complete her killer look. McCarthy is coming off a massively successful box office opening weekend after her stellar performance as Ursula in Disney's "The Little Mermaid". McCarthy rode in the parade with Odeh by her side as the crowd went wild, screaming McCarthy's name. The parade also included Niecy Nash-Betts, Jessica Betts and Laith Ashley as the other "ICONS" of the glamorous parade. The route was down the legendary Santa Monica Boulevard which is filled with rainbow flags year-round, not just in June! The Outloud music festival drew some famous fans including Sharon Stone, Demi Lovato, Olivia Wilde and Tiffany Haddish.
RuPaul's Drag Race of course had their fair share of alumni in attendance, on floats and performing at the some of the many stages in West Hollywood. Scarlet Envy, Luxx Noir London, Jessica Wild and Kylie Sonique Love were some of the glamazons to name a few!
Odeh has also worked with a plethora of RuPaul's Drag Race alumni as we can see on his instragam @callitodeh, including Weho Pride Performer and All Stars Season 6 Winner Kylie Sonique Love. Kylie has been showing Odeh a lot of praise online along with Season 14's Kerri Colby, who recently had a tweet go viral regarding her wishes for Disney to hire a queer makeup artist for Ursula. Well it looks like McCarthy did just that and more for West Hollywood Pride and she looked flawless! McCarthy has stated numerous times how much of a fan she is of the art of drag and an showed what ally she is to the queer community. Odeh has also been working with Season 11's Nina West for years, most recently for the flawless look she was serving at the World Premiere of Disney's "The Little Mermaid".
Speaking of Kylie Sonique Love, she just premiered her new Music Video for "True Colors" for OutFest which Odeh was her makeup artist for. "True Colors" includes and all star cast of Six, Sugar, Aurora Sexton, Miss Shalae, Spice, Kylie Sonique Love, Heidi N Closet, Angeria, Alaska, Jimbo, Willam and Raja O'Hara.
